Caley Thistle struck late to secure a valuable point, with Gary Warren’s late header earning them a 1-1 draw against Partick Thistle at Firhill.
Kris Doolan’s strike early in the second-half looked to have been enough for the Jags, however Warren headed home in the last action of the match to move the Highlanders to within a point of 11th placed Hamilton Accies.
Caley Jags rang the changes, with Billy King and Larnell Cole droping to the bench, while suspended Ross Draper was also sidelined, with Jamie McCart, Henri Anier and Iain Vigurs returning to the side.
Inverness posed early threat, with Greg Tansey off target with two strikes from the edge of the box, while at the other end Ryan Edwards struck over.
The Highlanders thought they had made the breakthrough on 42 minutes when Liam Polworth’s shot broke to Anier, however his effort was chalked off for offside.
Thistle passed up a fine chance at the start of the second-half when Doolan was thwarted by Fon Williams, who palmed his shot wide of the post.
Doolan was not to be denied on 56 minutes however, as he guided Edwards’ delivery home from six yards to give the Jags a valuable lead.
Partick had chances to increase their lead, with substitute Ade Azeez shooting low at Fon Williams, however Inverness had the last say when Warren guided Billy King’s delivery past Tomas Cerny and into the net to send the visiting supporters into raptures.
