Is this the worst statue likeness ever?

Real Madrid and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo smiled today as he unveiled the bust at the Madeira international airport outside Funchal, the capital of Madeira island.

But the statue has raised eyebrows with some questioning how much it actually resembles the former Manchester United star.

The 32-year-old is a local hero in Madeira, where he is seen as a rags-to-riches success and already has a statue, a museum and a hotel named after him.

“You know how proud I am of my roots, my homeland,” Ronaldo, wearing a dark suit and tie, said in a speech.
