Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has dismissed suggestions Niall McGinn and Ash Taylor could sign new deals with the Dons.
McGinn and Taylor are both free agents after leaving Pittodrie at the end of the season but are yet to find new clubs.
Northern Ireland international McGinn has been recently linked with a move to South Korean side Gwangju, while Taylor is expected to return to England.
Dons manager McInnes says he is still in contact with both players but believes the Scottish Cup final defeat by Celtic at the end of May was the last time either player will don an Aberdeen kit.
He said: “We are in dialogue as in keeping in touch with them and showing concern or advising them any way we can.
“My assistant Tony Docherty and I like to keep in touch with our players when they move on but not in a sense that the players will end up elsewhere.
“Both boys have indicated they want to try something different and that is something we are totally relaxed with.
“We are looking to move on and to bring in players who want to be here.”
The Dons, who are expected to complete the signing of Scotland international Shaun Maloney by Monday, step up their preparations for the Europa League by taking on St Johnstone in a friendly at McDiarmid Park today.
Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Ryan Christie said McInnes’ decision to turn down the Sunderland manager’s job convinced him to return to Pittodrie on a season-long loan from Celtic.
Christie, who will wear the number 22 strip this season, said: “I didn’t want to make a decision until I knew the manager was staying.
“When the news broke that he was staying, it was a shock to a lot of people in Scottish football but it is brilliant news.
“For a few years people have jumped ship whenever an offer has come in from England.
“He called me to say he had made up his mind to stay at Aberdeen and he wanted me on board.
“As soon as I heard that my mind was made up that I wanted to come back.”
