Deveronvale fans have the chance to honour long-serving winger Graeme Watt in his testimonial match against a young Ross County side at Princess Royal Park next week.
The 31-year-old, who has made 275 appearances for his hometown club and scored 65 goals in the process, has played under numerous managers and coaches in nearly two decades with the Banffers, including double title-winning Gregg Carroll, Walter Robertson, Scott Anderson, Charlie Charlesworth and current Vale boss and former team-mate Steve Dolan.
The testimonial match against the Ross County XI takes place at Princess Royal Park on Tuesday July 31 at 7.30pm.
Watt joined Deveronvale’s youth development scheme 19 years ago and made
his first-team debut in 2003.
Watt, part of the Banff club’s title-winning squad in season 2005-2006, scored his first Deveronvale goal in a top-of-the-table match with Forres Mechanics in March 2006.
He was man of the match in Vale’s 2006-2007 Aberdeenshire Cup triumph against Inverurie Locos at Keith and scored in the 5-4 Scottish Cup victory against Elgin City at Banff.
