Aberdeen have been handed a home tie against Kilmarnock in the fifth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.
Derek McInnes’ side required a late Sam Cosgrove penalty to defeat Dumbarton 1-0 in the fourth round of the competition on Saturday.
Aberdeen are bidding to end a 30-year wait for Scottish Cup glory with a penalty shootout success against Celtic in 1990 the last time the Dons claimed the trophy.
The Dons were beaten 3-0 by Celtic in the semi-finals of last year’s competition.
Caley Thistle registered a 3-2 win at Alloa on Saturday to earn their place in the fifth round. They will take on Livingston, who came from behind to beat Raith Rovers 3-1.
John Robertson, the Caley Thistle manager, wants his players to believe they can go all the way in the competition, having reached the semi-finals last season before losing against Hearts.
Ayr United’s reward for knocking Ross County out of the competition was a home tie against St Johnstone.
Holders Celtic will travel to Clyde, while Rangers will meet Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park.
