Aberdeen came from behind to defeat Dundee 3-1 and move up to fourth position in the Scottish Premiership.
Kevin Holt broke the deadlock after 13 minutes but James Maddison restored parity with a fine strike before the break.
Jayden Stockley netted three minutes after replacing Adam Rooney to give the Dons the advantage before Kenny McLean netted from the penalty spot two minutes from time.
Aberdeen made one change from the team that drew 1-1 with Caley Thistle last week with James Maddison, who who impressed after coming on as a substitute in last week’s 1-1 draw with Caley Thistle, replacing Wes Burns.
Both teams had made identical starts to the season with one win, three draws and a solitary defeat from their first five matches in the Scottish Premiership.
Aberdeen made an encouraging start and placed the Dundee defence under immediate pressure with an Anthony O’Connor header from a Maddison corner desperately cleared off the line by Tom Hateley.
But the Dons fell behind in the 13th minute when Dundee netted with their first short on target when a patient, well-worked move culminated with Holt rifling the ball beyond Joe Lewis to break the deadlock.
They needed an immediate response and they got one through midfielder Maddison.
There appeared to be little danger when the on-loan Norwich City player collected the ball 35 yards out with his back to goal but a fiendishly quick turn left two Dundee midfielders trailing in his wake before he unleashed a fizzing low drive that was too hot for Scott Bain to keep out.
Dundee were gifted a great chance to regain the lead four minutes into the second half when Paul McGowan pounced on a slack Andrew Considine pass but the midfielder sliced his shot wide, while Graeme Shinnie went close to a goal of the season contender at the other end when his powerful strike from 25 yards was tipped onto the crossbar by Bain.
Maddison should have got his second of the game when he was sent through on goal by Niall McGinn but shot straight at Bain when he should have gone round the Dundee goalkeeper, while Mark O’Hara hooked a volley over at the other end as both sides pressed for the crucial next goal. T
With just over 15 minutes remaining, Jayden Stockley and Wes Burns were thrown on for Rooney and McGinn as the Dons looked to up the ante.
The change had the desired effect with Hayes storming past Holt before crossing for Stockley to nod the ball into the far corner of the net.
With two minutes remaining, the Dons made sure of the points when McLean slammed home from the penalty spot after Burns’ rampaging run was halted by Julen Extabeguren.
To compound the misery for Dundee, they ended the match with 10 men when Mark O’Hara was sent off for a second bookable offence in injury time.
