Peterhead manager Jim McInally believes his players will be anxious to make amends against Brechin City at Balmoor today.
A late goal from Andy Jackson gave the Hedgemen a 2-1 victory when the sides met at Glebe Park in September.
Peterhead dominated the match for long spells and created the better opportunities, only to leave with nothing after Jackson’s winner.
Peterhead go into this one in form after extending their winning run to three matches with a 2-0 success against Stranraer last weekend, while Brechin suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Livingston.
McInally said: “We were delighted with last week’s win. We have always done quite well at Stranraer but have struggled against them at our place.
“I can see the confidence coming back to the players after a few wins and we feel we owe Brechin one after the last game.
“A victory would move us only five points behind them and we want to keep looking up the table and get ourselves as high as we can.
“Brechin had a fantastic run towards the end of last season and have carried on where they left off. They added some good players to what was already a good squad, so I wasn’t surprised by their strong start to the campaign but we feel we can catch them.
“Despite our poor start, we are on the same amount of points that we had by the same stage last season.
“This is a big game and we are determined to win.”
McInally expects to have a full squad to choose from and added: “Steven Noble came off with a hip injury last Saturday but managed to train on Wednesday without any problems.
“Simon Ferry has been struggling with a groin injury but we also expect him to be fit for the game.”
