A Celtic fan spent a night in a Manchester jail – after throwing a hamburger at a police horse.
The Hoops supporter was arrested after causing trouble in the city’s Piccadilly Gardens.
The Greater Manchester Police tweeted the incident to their 77,000 followers.
They said: “Celtic fan arrested for throwing a hamburger at a police horse in Piccadilly Gardens. Male started kicking about in the van! #nightinacell”
Celtic were in the city to face off against Manchester City in the Champions League.
The game ended in a 1-1 stalemate after Kelechi Iheanacho drove an angled drive high past Craig Gordon to level up against Celtic’s early lead.
