An Aberdeen man is desperate to track down the Good Samaritan who saved him from missing the Dons’ Scottish Cup tie with Stranraer.
Iain Cuthbert is on the hunt for a woman called Mrs Riley who paid for his fuel at the Cocket Hat Service Station on Anderson Drive on Saturday.
Mr Cuthbert had been on his way to Pittodrie that afternoon to purchase a ticket for that day’s fourth round match and stopped to fill up his Volkswagon Polo.
But having filled up his car with £10 of petrol Mr Cuthbert soon discovered when he reached the counter that he had left his wallet at home.
