Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis has signed a new five-year deal with the club.
Lewis, who joined the club in 2016 after leaving Cardiff City, has extended his stay at Pittodrie until 2024.
The former England youth stopper has played in virtually every game for the Dons this season, only coming off during the game with Hibernian at Easter Road due to injury. He missed part of last season after suffering a knee injury against Rangers.
Lewis has made 139 appearances for the club, keeping 53 clean sheets and playing an integral part in Aberdeen’s run to three domestic cup finals. He also had a standout performance in the second leg of the Europa League tie with Burnley.

The new contract will take him into his fourth season with the Dons and manager Derek McInnes is delighted with the news.
He said: “This is a really significant signing for the club.
“The length of the contract illustrates what we think of Joe and that we want him to be part of this club going forward. It also demonstrates how happy he is at AFC, which is great to see.
“It’s a real boost for us at a time when we are going to lose a number of key players this summer and it’s great to see a player of Joe’s calibre show that level of commitment to the club.”
Lewis has been an undisputed first choice since his arrival. Backup Tomas Cerny is out of contract in the summer and Danny Rogers is due to return from his loan spell with St Mirren.
