Aberdeen have completed the signing of St Johnstone winger Matty Kennedy.
The 25-year-old had already agreed to join the Dons on a three-year deal in the summer.
But the Dons are understood to have paid around £75,000 to sign the player now.
Kennedy, who scored 12 goals in 62 appearances for St Johnstone, could make his debut for the Dons against St Mirren in Paisley on Sunday.
He is Aberdeen’s third signing of the transfer window following the arrival of Dylan McGeouch from Sunderland and youngster Mark Gallagher from Ross County.
Dons manager Derek McInnes said: “I’m pleased we managed to reach an agreement with St Johnstone to bring Matty to the club now.
“He is the type of player who can really help make the difference for us.”
