Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is willing to play the waiting game in his hunt for new players.
The Dons have made three signings for the new campaign in goalkeeper Scott Brown and defenders Ash Taylor and Shay Logan while Kilmarnock forward Kris Boyd, who is out of contract at Rugby Park, has also held talks with the club.
But Aberdeen manager McInnes is prepared to be patient in his hunt for further reinforcements.
He said: “I would like to get another couple in before the European tie on July 3 but these things can take time.
“We managed to make three signings quickly which is great and in an ideal world you would like to have all your business done early but sometimes you have to wait and we are prepared to do that.
“Players like to wait and see what their options are and if the right player comes along and we have to wait for him then so be it.”
