Ross County manager Derek Adams knows Melvin de Leeuw is a wanted man but hopes the Dutchman will resist interest to stay at the club.
De Leeuw is in the last year of his contract with the Staggies and the former Cambuur Leeuwarden midfielder is attracting interest from several countries.
Adams insists there has been no offer for the 26-year-old but having sold Kevin Luckassen to Slovan Liberec in January he admits every player has his price.
The County manager said: “We don’t want to see Melvin go but we also know that, when you score 10 goals in the top division, there’s going to be interest.
“We saw that interest in Kevin and we haven’t been surprised to see it in Melvin as he has done well for us.
“We haven’t had any formal approaches but we are aware of people watching him.”
