Aberdeen will face Dutch opposition in FC Groningen if they can reach the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
The Dons were paired with Latvian club Daugava Riga in the first round when the draw was made at noon and will play their matches on July 3 and July 10.
Should Derek McInnes’ side beat the Latvians they will face their Dutch opponents on July 17 and 24.
Motherwell, who pipped the Dons to second place in the Scottish Premiership, will face Stjarnan of Iceland or Bangor of Wales in the second round while Scottish Cup winners St Johnstone will play FC Luzern of Switzerland in their second round tie.
