Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is looking for more of the same spirit his side showed in Dublin when they continue their preparation for the new season at Brechin tonight.
Defender Ash Taylor, a summer signing from Tranmere Rovers, is in line to make his debut after joining up with his team-mates on Sunday.
McInnes was pleased to see his players fight back from 2-0 down to earn a draw at Irish champions St Patrick’s Athletic on Saturday and wants the same application at Glebe Park in tonight’s game which kicks off at 7.45pm.
The Dons manager said: “It’s been a good week for us and we came through Saturday’s game without any injuries which is pleasing.
“The players can taken confidence from the work they have done and they can be pleased with their efforts.
“We were up against a confident team on Saturday in St Pats and we were a bit rusty at the start of the game, but the players did well and looked stronger as the game went on.
“We were very comfortable, certainly in the second half, and everyone got game time.
“We showed our tenacity not to lose games and although it was a fitness exercise the spirit among the players was good. A repeat of that attitude at Brechin will suit me fine.”
