Aberdeen midfielder Willo Flood expects Ryan Jack to play a key role for the Dons this season.
The Scotland under-21 international has formed a strong partnership in central midfield alongside Flood and the former Dundee United midfielder is predicting a big campaign for his Pittodrie team-mate.
Flood, who will again team with Jack for tonight’s Europa League tie against Dutch side Groningen at Pittodrie, said: “Ryan is progressing well and is learning a lot from a manager who used to play in the same position as him.
“It’s a big season for him but I’m sure he will be even better than he was last season.
“He was good to play with and he is a better footballer than people give him credit for. He controls games well and that’s what the manager likes about him.”
