Ross County manager Derek Adams hopes to re-sign midfielder Graham Carey
Ross County manager Derek Adams was pleased to extend the Staggies’ Dutch connections in the transfer market this week.
Former Utrecht defender Jordi Balk has joined the club, along with Belgian centre-half Tim Dreesen, who spent the last three years in Holland with Fortuna Sittard.
Adams insists their settling process will be helped by Dutch trio Melvin de Leeuw, Darren Maatsen and Marc Klok already being at the club.
Adams said: “Having a good Dutch contingent helps them bed in here, as well as the good air link we have between Inverness and Amsterdam.
“It is quicker for them to travel back home than it is for us to travel elsewhere in Scotland from here.
“So having the Dutch boys here can only help them.”
After Saturday’s friendly away to Nairn County, the Staggies travel to Holland for a week-long training camp, with a game against Twente Enschede next Friday.
