Aberdeen attacker Niall McGinn insists the Dons can create a shock against Real Sociedad tomorrow.
The Dons flew out to San Sebastian today for the third qualifying round of the Europa League and confidence is high following the 2-1 win at Groningen last week.
McGinn, who scored what turned out to be the winning goal for Derek McInnes’ side, hopes the Dons can keep their interest in the competition alive following tomorrow’s testing game at the Anoeta Stadium.
He said: “Stranger things have happened in football than Aberdeen winning a tie like this.
“It’s clearly going to be difficult to go into their backyard and get a positive result. All we can do is go to Spain, give it our all and see where it takes us.
“The Dons fans will be out there in numbers, as they were in Holland and we are determined to do well for them again.”
