Ross County’s miserable start to the season continued as they lost 2-1 at home to a spirited Kilmarnock side.
Much like last weekend against St Johnstone, the Staggies began brightly but conceded a cheap goal before half-time, with former Aberdeen forward Josh Magennis heading home his first Killie goal on 38 minutes.
With six new players on the pitch – Derek McInnes’ men looked like they were still getting to know each other as the teams went in for half-time.

Killie got the second-half under way looking to hold onto their lead, with both sides remaining unchanged.
But it wasn’t long before the visiting team doubled their lead as Tope Obadeyi rose to hammer home a free header on 56 minutes, leaving Ross County facing a mountain to climb.
Liam Boyce gave Ross County some hope with his first goal for the Dingwall side with nine minutes left.
However, it wasn’t enough. Despite some late pressure from the home side – Derek Adams’ men couldn’t muster a second as they continue the wait for their first points of the season.
