Former St Mirren manager Danny Lennon has confirmed he is interested in the vacant Ross County manager’s job.
Lennon was the early favourite with the bookmakers after Derek Adams parted company with the Staggies yesterday.
The 45-year-old guided St Mirren to the League Cup in 2013 but was not retained by the Paisley club at the end of last season.
Lennon, who spent a short spell at Dingwall during his playing career, said: “It is an attractive position.
“I spent time up there in the latter end of my career and it is a lovely part of the world.
“The club’s northerly location may put some people off applying and others may be put off by the success that Derek Adams had.
“But I think he has laid a foundation there and it is a great opportunity for someone to go and pick it up.”
Former Hibernian and Caley Thistle manager Terry Butcher, Ian Murray, Kenny Shiels, Chris Sutton, David Weir and Gus MacPherson are some of the other names who have been linked with the post.
