Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes believes Ash Taylor will be a valuable asset for the Dons.
The defender was given the man of the match award for his display in Saturday’s 2-0 victory against Partick Thistle.
And with captain Russell Anderson set to miss the next six weeks after undergoing a knee operation, Taylor is set for an extended run in the team.
McInnes said: “Like any new signing, they have to go prove their worth to their teammates and to the supporters but I am very confident that Ash will be a fantastic signing for us.
“He is very dominant, takes responsibility and is a good organiser which you have to be at the back.”
