Ross County skipper backs McIntyre appointment

Ross County captain Richard Brittain has backed Jim McIntyre to be a success at Victoria Park.

McIntyre was confirmed as Derek Adams’ successor yesterday and will be officially unveiled as the new Staggies manager this morning.

And Brittain believes the board have made a shrewd appointment.

He said: “It is a fantastic appointment by the club.

“He knows the league both as a player and as a manager.

“He knows what it takes to succeed at the highest level.

“He won the First Division with Dunfermline at a canter and by all accounts he had Queen of the South playing some exciting stuff as well.”
