Aberdeen forward David Goodwillie was disappointed that his side came away from Celtic Park with nothing to show for their efforts.
Goals from Jason Denayer and Kris Commons had given the Celts a two-goal lead but Aberdeen set up a rousing finale at Parkhead with Goodwillie’s 61st minute strike.
But the Hoops held on for a 19th consecutive home league victory against the Dons, although Goodwillie reckoned his side deserved a point.
He said: “In the dressing room after the game, we were all really disappointed.
“It felt like a really bad loss as we were pressing and pressing for the equaliser towards the end of the game.
“They were catching us on the break but we looked like we could get something. When we got the goal back we felt we could get a point so we went from a real high to a low and the boys were really disappointed afterwards.
“Our initial gameplan didn’t seem to work but the manager changed it and that did seem to be working.
“At times, we were a bit lackadaisical and switched off too much. I think we are disappointed in ourselves for doing that. We let the manager down.”
