Aberdeen eased to a 3-0 win at Pittodrie this afternoon with one of the most convincing performances of the season.
Adam Rooney nodded the Dons into the lead and Peter Pawlett added the third goal, however, it was the scorer of Aberdeen’s second, David Goodwillie, that received the man of the match award and widespread online plaudits.
Goodwillie scored his first league goal in Aberdeen colours last week against Celtic and added to it with another header today, ensuring his place as a favourite amongst the Dons support.
With the Dons 3-0 up and cruising, Goodwillie could even afford to round County keeper Mark Brown and miss an open goal.
However, after a brilliant all round performance, Dons fans were willing to forgive the striker for the miss and number of Aberdeen fans took to Twitter to praise the team and Goodwillie in particular.
Great display today. Goodwillie showed some real class. Taylor solid with Reynolds, #COYR #standfree

Great performance today, could have easily been 4 or 5 – 0. Especially seen as Goodwillie rounded the keeper then hit the post from 2 yards
