A late comeback from St Mirren saw Aberdeen take just one point from a match in which they looked destined to claim all three.
Aberdeen took a 2-0 lead against their visitors from Paisley and looked set for the three points which would take them above Celtic and Kilmarnock into fourth place, however, a Kenny McLean penalty four minutes from time saw the teams share the points.
Mark Reynolds gave Derek McInnes’ men a 1-0 first half lead and Peter Pawlett doubled that lead after 56 minutes.
However, the two goal lead lasted only 60 seconds, with Callum Ball converting Greg Wylde’s delivery before Mark Reynolds inexplicably handled John McGinn’s cross in the 86th minute and McLean made no mistake from the resulting spot kick.
