Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is ready to put his faith in the attacking triumvirate of David Goodwillie, Adam Rooney and Niall McGinn at Dundee United today.
You can keep updated on the game with our live match day blog.
The Dons have trailed United since their opening day home defeat to Jackie McNamara’s side, but victory at Tannadice today will see them move level on points.
McInnes knows this weekend is another important one for his club and he has backed his players to deliver.
Goodwillie, Rooney and McGinn will carry the attacking threat for the Dons, with Jonny Hayes and Peter Pawlett charged with the task of creating chances for the trio.
He said: “It’s still the same three points but when we play teams around us it does have extra significance.
“We’re going there looking to win the game and if we can put a performance in we’re capable of doing that.
“Any manager wants to see his team improve and Jackie’s seeing that from his team.
“He has players who can change a game in a moment, but we have game changers in our team as well and that’s why we’re both where we are in the league.
“If we could get a result it would be a big three points for us but I’m sure they feel the same way.”
McInnes praised one of the key creative components for his side – 27-year-old midfielder-turned-left back Hayes.
He said: “Jonny has played a slightly different role of late.
“He has brought real pace, drive and a creative spark. I know we’ll get a strong performance from him wherever he plays.”
