Tony Dingwall could have put the Staggies ahead in the Highland derby
Ross County have secured defender Jamie Reckord and talented youngster Tony Dingwall on extended contracts, however the news has been dampened by the latter sustaining a hand injury that will keep him out for a month.
Former Wolves player Reckord, 22, has consolidated the left back position at Victoria Park since arriving on a free transfer in October, and has penned an extension until the end of the season with the option of a further year.
Dingwall, 20, has signed a two and a half year extension which sees him remain with the Staggies until 2017.
Dingwall has broken into the first-team in recent weeks, netting twice in the 2-2 draw against Motherwell last weekend, however manager Jim McIntyre confirmed the midfielder will be out for the next three to four weeks after injuring his hand in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat against Hamilton Accies.
Meanwhile, English forward Craig Curran has gone on trial with County in a bid to win a contract at Victoria Park. The 25 year-old has most recently been playing for Nuneaton Town, having previously played for Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United and Rochdale.
