Brighton have recalled Jefferey Monakana following the end of his loan spell at Aberdeen.
But Dons manager Derek McInnes has not ruled out bringing the player, who has yet to start a game for the club, back to Pittodrie before the transfer window closes.
McInnes said: “Having spoken to the chief executive at Brighton they have taken the decision to recall Jeff in order to assess his situation further.
“The possibly of him going out on loan again hasn’t been ruled out so there may an option for him to rejoin us at the end of the month.
“Everyone at the club would like to thank Jeff for his contribution during his time here.”
