Celtic fell to a 1-0 loss in their ‘mid-season break’ this afternoon but it will not just be the result which will concern Celtic boss Ronny Deila – he also lost two of his most important players through injury.
Dutch winger Memphis Depay netted the only goal of the game as the Hoops limped to defeat with both captain Scott Brown and top goalscorer John Guidetti leaving the pitch with injuries
Brown was forced off after just five minutes after picking up an injury, with race row winger Aleksandar Tonev replacing him.
Things went from bad to worse for the Hoops as Depay scored the only goal, while Giudetti was taken off after an hour with a hamstring complaint.
Back on home soil Celtic could fall four points behind Aberdeen if the Dons beat St Mirren today.
