First Division (East) leaders Buchanhaven Hearts have been deducted 15 league points, expelled from two cups and fined £300 after being found guilty of playing a player who was not reinstated to junior football.
They drop from top spot and seven points clear of the rest in the North Region First Division (East) to fifth place and now trail new leaders Colony Park by eight points.
In addition, they have been expelled from the North Regional Cup and GA Engineering Cup.
Buchanhaven had played Mike McKenzie on several occasions throughout the season while the player was on loan from Highland League Turriff United.
McKenzie played in cup ties against Spey Valley in the North Regional Cup and Inverness City in the GA Engineering Cup.
Both of these clubs have now been re-instated in the respective competitions, while the points deduction takes immediate effect.
McKenzie has since left Buchanhaven Hearts and was this week appointed manager at Dyce.
Buchanhaven appealed the initial decisions made by the North Region and the North Tayside Region last month but their appeal was rejected by the SJFA.
