There’s only 11 days left so let’s sign, sign, sign!
Ok, clubs aren’t getting quite that carried away but there was some movement today, Celtic seem pretty intent on destroying Dundee United’s challenge at the top of the league by signing all their players, meanwhile it was one in, one out at Ross County today and down south there is plenty of interest in Darren Fletcher.
Stuart Armstrong
Celtic have reportedly made an official approach to Dundee United for Stuart Armstrong as they try to secure a second United player this window.
Gary Mackay-Steven has already agreed to join the Hoops in the summer, meanwhile it is believed 22-year-old Armstrong would command a fee of around £2.5million.
Marcus Fraser
Ross County have made former Celtic defender Marcus Fraser their third new signing of the January transfer window.
Fraser, 20, was a free agent after leaving the Parkhead club, having spent the first part of the season on loan with Championship side Cowdenbeath.
Lewis Toshney
While Marcus Fraser has joined Ross County, Lewis Toshney has gone the other way, with the club confirming he has been released.
James Marwood
James Marwood has become the latest player to leave St Mirren in January.
The forward failed to score in 15 appearances since moving from Gateshead in the summer and struggled to get in the team in recent weeks.
Darren Fletcher
Scotland captain Darren Fletcher is out of contract at Manchester United in the summer, however, it is looking more likely that he could be moving on this month.
Valencia and West Ham are both said to be considering making a move for the midfielder, meanwhile West Brom moved on Silvestre Varela today and Sebastian Blancotwo is expected to follow tomorrow as they try to clear room in their squad for Fletcher.
Other moves down South
Marko Marin
Chelsea winger Marko Marin has joined the club’s army of players out on loan by joining Anderlecht until the end of the season.
Kyle Naughton
Tottenham right back Kyle Naughton is moving closer to a transfer to Swansea.
The 26-year-old joined Spurs in 2009 but is expected to move to Wales in a deal worth around £5million.
Juan Cuadrado
Chelsea are rumoured to be looking to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.
The Columbian drew a number of admirers with his displays for Columbia during the World Cup and has a £26.8m buy-out clause in his contract.
