Derek McInnes has established a very consistent, recognisable starting 11 over recent months, built on a central defensive pairing of Mark Reynolds and Ash Taylor, however, with Taylor now injured, McInnes has been forced to change that for Saturday’s semi final.
Ahead of the Hampden tie with Dundee United, the easiest and most straight forward option available to McInnes would be to replace the injured Taylor with new signing Donervorn Daniels, however, some fans have raised concerns over throwing the young centre half into such a big match on his debut.
The previously tested alternative would see Andrew Considine moved from left back to partner Reynolds at centre half, with Jonny Hayes moving from centre midfield to left back and Willo Flood starting in the middle of the park.
