There’s under seven hours to go before that transfer window SLAMS shut but there is plenty going on at clubs across the UK.
Below, we take a look at some of the biggest deals in England and, over here, we take a look at the top stories in Scotland.
Andre Schurrle
German newspaper Bild are reporting that Chelsea attacker Andre Schurrle is in Wolfsburg to complete his move from the Premier League side.
Reports suggest a contract is agreed between Schurrle and the Bundesliga club, the two clubs now must conclude discussions on a transfer fee.
Darren Fletcher
West Brom have moved into pole position in the race to sign Darren Fletcher.
The Manchester United midfield previosuly looked set to join West Ham but when that collapsed he was expected to remain at Manchester United.
However, West Brom boss Tony Pulis is now pulling out all the stops to agree a deal with the Scotland international before 11pm tonight.
Yakubu
Feed the Yak and he will score.
It looks like everyone’s favourite Nigerian goal machine has returned to English football!
Yakubu has been in talks with Reading and the club have confirmed that he has signed until the end of the season.
Brown Ideye
Talking of Nigerian strikers… The Daily Mail are reporting that West Brom flop Brown Ideye could be on his way out of the club.
Ideye became the club’s record signing when he joined for £10million in the summer, however, he has struggled to make an impact and Qatari club Al Gharafa have made an improved bid of £5m plus add-ons for the 26-year-old.
Graham Dorrans
Norwich and Burnley are going head-to-head in a Deadline Day battle to sign West Brom’s Graham Dorrans.
It is believed the Baggies are looking for £4million for the 10 times capped Scotland international.
Shaun Wright Phillips
Remember Shaun Wright Phillips? He was a winger… played for Man City, then played Chelsea, then back to City, also starred for England?
Ok, he’s not been in the headlines recently but he does still play football and now Sky Sports are reporting that Brighton have made a loan enquiry to QPR regarding his availability.
David Santon
Newcastle defender David Santon has announced he has left the English club to re-join Inter Milan… somewhat awkwardly Newcastle have now issued a statement saying no such deal is in place! Ah deadline day, how we love you.
Anderson
No club in Brazil have confirmed the move and Manchester United certainly haven’t confirmed a move but United midfielder Juan Mata has taken to his blog to wished team-mate Anderson good luck on his move back to Brazil.
It is believed the Brazilian will officially sign for Internacional later today.
