Celtic have upped their bid for to sign Gary Mackay-Steven from Dundee United this month.
The winger has already signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Hoops in the summer, however, Celtic have today offered £250,000 to sign the former Ross County youngster this evening.
Celtic previously had a £150,000 bid rejected for the 24-year-old but hope that their new bid will be enough to convince their League Cup final opponents to sell.
Celtic have also made a new offer of £1.6million for United midfielder Stuart Armstrong but it is believed that has been rejected by the Tangerines.
Burnley have also had an offer turned down for Armstrong while a number of other English clubs are believed to be monitoring his situation.

Elsewhere, Celtic are expected to miss out on Crystal Palace midfielder Barry Bannan.
It was reported earlier today that the Ronny Deila was considering make a move for the boyhood Celtic fan, however, it now looks like he will join Neil Lennon’s Bolton.
