Dundee United have accepted Celtic’s latest bid for Stuart Armstrong and a deal to sign Gary Mackay-Steven also looks imminent.
Celtic’s offer is believed to be just over £1.6million plus a number of add-on clauses.
Burnley have had an offer turned down for Armstrong while a number of other English clubs are believed to be monitoring his situation.
Mackay-Steven has already signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Hoops in the summer, however, Celtic have today offered £250,000 to sign the former Ross County youngster this evening.
Celtic previously had a £150,000 bid rejected for the 24-year-old but it is believed the latest bid could be enough to convince their League Cup final opponents to sell.
