Rangers sign five on loan from Newcastle

It looks like the five Newcastle players to join Rangers on loan will be Gael Bigirimana, Haris Vuckic, Remie Streete, Kevin Mbabu and Shane Ferguson.

Here’s a look at each of the new Gers.

The promising youngster arrived at Newcastle as a 16-year-old in 2009.

The midfielder has enjoyed successful loan spells at both Cardiff City and Rotherham but has been unable to establish himself in the Newcastle first team.

Gael Bigirimana

Bigirimana joined Newcastle from Coventry in 2012, signing a five year deal, however, since then he has made just 13 first team appearances.

The midfielder has been capped by England at under-21 level.

Remie Streete

English centre half, Streete, is most famous for being the player reserve team coach Willie Donachie hit, forcing his resignation.

On the pitch, Street joined Port Vale earlier this season on loan.

Swiss defender Kevin Mbabu joined Newcastle in 2013 but has yet to make his debut for the first team.

The 19-year old has represented his country at youth level from under-16 through to under-19 level.

The 23-year-old Northern Irishman can play either as a left back or left winger.

Ferguson joined Newcastle in 2009 but has struggled to break into the first team and has spent two spells on loan at Birmingham City in the English Championship.
