Ross County manager Jim McIntyre rang the changes to his under-performing squad with six signings in January, but knows time is running out to find a winning team.
County added forwards Craig Curran, Darvydas Sernas and Raffaele De Vita, defenders Cameron Burgess and Marcus Fraser and midfielder Ruben Palazuelos during the transfer window.
Defender Lewis Toshney and attackers Yoann Arquin and Darren Maatsen were released as McIntyre put his stamp on the squad he inherited from previous manager Derek Adams in September.
The new faces have little time to settle, with County desperate for points having fallen six points adrift of both Motherwell and St Mirren at the bottom of the Premiership and a trip to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie coming on Saturday.
The manager has faith in the squad he has assembled and said: “We’ve had to make some changes I felt were necessary to take us on.
“Now it’s up to us to prove that was the right thing to do. The job is to integrate everybody as quickly as possible and make sure each individual knows what their role is and what is expected of them.
“I’m pleased with what we’ve brought in and of course some people needed to make way for that to happen.”
County played six games in a congested January schedule, with the latest being their 1-1 draw against Caley Thistle in Saturday’s Highland derby.
Additions were needed but the Staggies manager is relieved the window has now closed to allow him to focus fully on County’s survival bid, with just 15 games remaining to avoid relegation to the Championship.
McIntyre added: “It certainly does distract from day-to-day duties. I found myself spending far more time with my mind occupied on other things.
“I think most managers will be glad it’s over. We have our squad now and can just focus on the games.
“January is not an easy transfer window. It is one where we were constantly getting CVs and video footage sent to us.
“We spend a lot of hours doing our homework and going through things, when sometimes we would prefer to have full focus on the games.”
