New Aberdeen signing Kenny McLean was officially unveiled today and said he was sold on the move to Aberdeen by the ambition shown by the club.
McLean joined the Dons for £300,000 on Monday and, speaking at Pittodrie today, he said: “It is a club with massive ambitions, the gaffer has shown loads of that with the signings he is making and the strength that we have got in the squad here.
“I am just here to help the team do as well as they can.
“When I got the call on Sunday morning I was very keen to come up and get it done. the way the club is going and the ambition they are showing, I want to be a part of that going forward.
“Leaving St Mirren was a tough decision, I have been there four years and it is a great club but when I got the opportunity to come up here I didn’t want to turn it down.
“The way they play here, attacking wise, will suit me a lot better.
“I am going to work as hard as I can with the manager and Tony and going forward I can improve and hopefully I can strengthen the squad as well.”
