Ross County defender Jamie Reckord has issued a rallying cry by insisting his club is now capable of beating any team in the Premiership.
The left back scored his first goal for the club as the Staggies made it three wins in a row for the first time since February 2013 with a 1-0 win against Dundee at Victoria Park on Saturday.
The confidence is surging through the County players following a drastic improvement in form and Reckord sees no reason why it cannot continue.
He said: “It was a massive win for us and three wins on the bounce for us now.
“We’ve been low on confidence but you can see the difference a few wins have made. Everyone is buzzing and we’re on a run now and hopefully we can keep it going.
“We were comfortable and we dealt with whatever Dundee offered. We controlled the whole game and were unlucky not to get a few more goals.
“I feel as if we can get the three points from every game we go into now. We’re a good team and I look at other sides and think ‘why can’t we beat them?”
Reckord’s goal was an easy one, a close-range tap-in, but the full back knows his contribution was important.
He said: “I made an early run and when the ball went out wide on the right I just kept going and then I thought ‘I could get it in here’ and that’s what happened. It was a great time to get my first goal and I’m very happy.
“The manager has said there will be spells where the other teams will win and we expected a reaction from St Mirren and Motherwell, which is why it was important we won our game.”
County’s win was important given their rivals at the bottom also won on Saturday, but with County’s improving form gathering pace Reckord insists the credit for his club’s revival must go to manager Jim McIntyre and his assistant Billy Dodds.
He said: “The manager has been great at keeping us focused and positive and that has been a big part of us turning this around.
“They have told us to keep believing and to hang in there and that’s what we’ve done. We went through a horrible run and I did wonder when our luck would turn.
“There have been games where we’ve missed chances or gone a goal down and I’ve found myself thinking ‘here we go again’ but it’s different now. We are scoring first and that’s made a huge difference.”
