Jordi Balk’s Ross County career may not have been the most memorable but this stunning own goal he recently scored certainly is!

Balk signed for the Staggies last summer but lasted just five months before he was released.

Now playing back in his homeland for FC Oss in the second tier of Dutch football, Balk has had a bit of a nightmare but has provided us with one of the most comical own goals ever seen.

FC Oss were tied at 0-0 away at second placed FC Eindhoven when, in the 19th minute, the ball was played to Balk.

Under pressure, the defender failed to show much in the way of composure and from 20 yards sent the ball looping over his own goalkeeper into the back of the net.

With a strike like that maybe County should have given the Dutchman a chance up front?
