Reports suggest Everton could be set to launch a bid for Aberdeen midfielder Ryan Jack.
A number of clubs south of the border have shown an interest in the 23-year-old, as have Italian giants Roma and Napoli, however, the Daily Mail believes Everton have now joined the chase for Jack’s signature.
Arsenal and Tottenham have both shown an interest in current Toffees midfielder James McCarthy and it is believed manager Roberto Martinez sees Jack as the perfect replacement.
Jack is currently contracted to the Pittodrie club until summer 2016, with the Dons looking to extend his deal at the end of the current season.
Martinez previously signed Fraser Fyvie from Aberdeen for Wigan and the Everton boss knows the Scottish leagues well, having played in the Scottish top flight with Motherwell and has signed McCarthy and his Hamilton team mate James McArthur as well Gary Caldwell from Celtic.
