Former Scotland international Andy Webster could be heading back to Scotland after Coventry City today announced he has been released.
Manager Tony Mowbray has released eight members of his Sky Blues squad, with Webster amongst the most high profile.
The former Hearts defender made over 200 appearances for the Jambos, also played for Dundee United and endured a frustrating injury plagued spell at Rangers.
The 33-year-old centre half has 28 Scotland caps to his name but has not been capped since the national team’s 1-0 win over Estonia in February 2013.
Former West Ham striker Frank Nouble was also released, along with Shaun Miller, Simeon Jackson, Blair Turgott, Al Bangura, Adam Barton and Danny Pugh.
