After Scotland’s qualifier against the Republic of Ireland came to an end we can now officially say the 2014/15 season is over.
That campaign may have come to an end but the campaign of summer signings for next season is well and truly up and running.
Here’s a quick look at today’s hottest transfer gossip.
- Celtic have reportedly had a bid for striker Milan Djuric rejected by his club Cesena.
The Hoops’ bid for the 6ft 6in Bosnian striker is believed to have been around the £700,000 mark, however, Cesena, recently relegated from Serie A are believed to be looking for around £2million.
The 25-year-old has one cap for Bosnia and scored two goals for Cesena last season. The video below shows him netting a hat trick of first half headers against Germany while in action for Bosnia under-21s. (Football-Italia)
- Mark Warburton wants a former Rangers player to be his first signing at Ibrox.
The Gers new assistant manager Davie Weir has reportedly been in talks with his former protégé Danny Wilson who has already signalled his intent to leave Hearts. (Daily Record
- Former Aberdeen defender Clark Robertson has joined Blackpool.
The Seasiders were relegated from the English Championship at the end of last season and have signed a number of players as the bid to bounce straight back. (Press and Journal)
- Watford are reportedly willing to allow winger Ikechi Anya to leave for £4million which could be music to Celtic’s ears.
Celtic have long been linked with a move for the Scotland international and new Watford manager Quique Flores is believed to want to bring in his own players to the recently promoted side, paving the way for an Anya exit. (Evening Times)
- Scotland international Jamie Mackie is to return to former club Queen’s Park Rangers from Nottingham Forest.
Mackie spent last season on loan at Reading and will now join fellow Championship side QPR. (Nottingham Post)
- St Johnstone have completed the signing of striker John Sutton after he rejected the offer of a new deal at Motherwell.
- Martin Boyle’s move from Dundee to Hibernian could be delayed by the Dens Park side’s demands for cash for the wide man.
Boyle impressed on loan at Easter Road and has now signed a permanent Hibs deal but Dundee are now trying to agree compensation terms for the player who cost them £16,00 from Montrose three years ago. (Evening Telegraph)
