Reports in Italy suggest that Celtic have had a bid rejected for striker Milan Djuric.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sports Italia, the Hoops are reported to have bid around £720,000 for the Cesena forward.
However, Celtic’s offer for the 6ft 6in Bosnian striker falls below the £2million his club are looking for but, with Cesena’s recent relegation from Serie A, Celtic are believed to be confident of striking a cut-price deal.
Djuric netted just two goals for his club this season as Cesena finished a miserable campaign with a disappointing 24 points, resulting in relegation.
The 25-year-old has one cap for Bosnia, earned in March this year, however, he also boasts an impressive goalscoring record the the Bosnia under-21 team, recording six goals in just four games.
The striker’s under-21 record includes an impressive first half hat trick of headers against Germany, as shown in the video above.
