Reports this morning suggest that new Rangers boss Mark Warburton has identified the man he wants to captain his new look Gers team.
The Daily Record reports that Warburton is looking to sign former Derby midfielder John Eustace, with the midfielder expected to arrive in Glasgow next week for talks.
Warburton is looking to build a fresh young squad at Ibrox, however, he believes securing the services of 35-year-old Eustace will help develop the youngsters already at the club as well as the young players he is looking to add this summer.
Eustace, who has previously played for Coventry, Stoke and Watford and also enjoyed a loan spell at Dundee United, left Derby after the Rams missed out on promotion to the English Premier League and is said to also be interesting Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds.
Warburton is yet to sign a player for the Gers but is close to completing a deal to sign Wigan defender Rob Kiernan, while Danny Wilson remains in talks with the club.
