Hearts and Hibs are competing for the signings of a talented young midfielder, Rangers are on the verge of completing the signing of two defenders and Celtic have received a boost in their bid to sign a couple of strikers.
Here’s a quick look at the latest transfer news from across Scotland.
- Celtic will launch another bid to sign St Pauli left-back Marcel Halstenberg after the Parkhead club’s original bid for the 23-year-old left back was rejected. (Evening Times)
- Edinburgh rivals Hearts and Hibs are fighting for the signature of St Mirren midfielder John McGinn.
The 20-year-old midfielder has signalled his intention to leave the Buddies after his contract expired and now must choose between England or Edinburgh. (Daily Record)
- Genk forward Jelle Vossen has said he would be open to a move to Celtic, who are apparently chasing his signature following his recent loan spell at Middlesbrough. (Evening Times)
- Another Celtic target has also opened the door on a move to Glasgow by admitting he wants to join the Parkhead club. 6ft 6in Bosnian striker Milan Djuric has told Cesena that he wants to leave them in order to make a £2million switch  to Celtic. (Evening Times)
- Celtic are set to bid £500k for Hibs midfielder Scott Allan, who has one year left on his deal in the capital. (The Sun)
- Celtic target  Alireza Jahanbakhsh has turned down a move to English Championship side Brighton.
NEC Nijmegen accepted a £1.7 million bit from Brighton but the player’s agent has said he has turned the move down. (Daily Express)
- Swansea City are the latest English Premier League team to show an interest in Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk.
Tottenham, Southampton, Norwich and Sunderland are also said to be interested in signing the the 23-year old Dutchman. (Daily Express)
- Hearts and Rangers are Hearts are both considering offers for Danish youngster Jens Jonsson.
The 22-year old defender is currently starring at the under-21 European Championships and could be available for £200k from Aarhus. (Evening Times)

- Kilmarnock have signed Falkirk goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald on a three-year deal.
- Queen’s Park have once again turned to the junior ranks, this time to sign Beith winger Joe Bradley.
- Partick Thistle have completed a new signing in the shape of new club mascot, Â ‘Kingsley’. The mascot was designed by Turner Prize nominated artist and Partick Thistle fan David Shrigley but that is about the only positive thing we can find to say about old ‘Kingsley’.
- Partick Thistle defender Stephen O’Donnell has signed for Luton Town. Possibly due to a fear of Kingsley the mascot.
