The 23-year-old replaces Russell Anderson in the role after the defender announced his retirement at the end of last season. Dons boss McInnes said: “Ryan will relish the responsibility, he is the ideal choice.” Mark Reynolds will remain as the club’s vice captain. Jack wore the armband this evening as the Dons eased to an 8-2 friendly win over Brechin.
