Aberdeen go to Motherwell tomorrow looking to make it three wins from the opening three games of the Premiership season.
Wins over Dundee United and Kilmarnock have lifted the Dons to third in the league despite having played one less game than most of their opponents.
Motherwell sit seventh in the league, having started their campaign with a 1-0 win at Inverness but followed it up with defeats at the hands of Dundee United and Hearts.
Motherwell team news
- Wes Fletcher will miss out for Motherwell with an ankle injury which also forced him out of Wednesday’s defeat by Hearts.
- Stephen Pearson has undergone knee surgery while Craig Reid is yet to return from a knee problem.
Aberdeen team news
- Peter Pawlett again misses out for Aberdeen after going over on his ankle.
- Defender Mark Reynolds remains out with his shoulder surgery.
Aberdeen midfielder Jonny Hayes says
“They (Motherwell) look a little bit revitalised compared to last year.
“Last year by Motherwell’s standards wasn’t great but they have signed some good players and they had a big result up at Inverness.
“There’s usually only the odd goal between ourselves and Motherwell so it will be a tough game. It’s a tough ask to keep the run going but we will go down there confident after two wins.”
