The official website of the Croatian FA has suggested that Celtic have completed the signing of defender Jozo Simunovic from Dinamo Zagreb.
The Hoops agreed a fee with Zagreb yesterday and the player has been in Glasgow discussing personal terms and undergoing his medical, and now a news item on the Croatian FA website reads: “Dinamo defender Jozo Šimunović, a member of Croatia U-21 national team, moves to Scottish champions Celtic.
“Šimunović made his way through Dinamo youth ranks and became a part of the senior squad, and made eight appearances for Croatian U-21, scoring once.”
Despite the Croatian FA appearing to break the news, neither Celtic nor Dinamo Zagreb have officially confirmed the deal.
The defender would be the eighth summer arrival at Parkhead following the signings of Nadir Ciftci, Dedryck Boyata, Saidy Janko, Scott Allan, Ryan Christie and Logan Bailly as well as loanee Tyler Blackett.
