Elgin City manager Jim Weir has challenged his players to take their home form on the road as City bid to consolidate their place as League 2 table toppers.
The Black and Whites lead Clyde on goal difference after the first six games of the campaign but Weir knows his players must improve their form away from home if they are to stay there.
He said: “Our home form has been excellent as we’ve won all our games at Borough Briggs so far but our two defeats have come away from home and that is something we have to improve on.
“It’s a nice feeling to be top of the league but if we are to stay there we’ve got to take our home displays into our away matches.
“We’ve shown we are capable of doing it with the win we had at Arbroath in the league and the excellent Petrofac Cup win at Alloa.”
Due to the club’s solid start confidence is not in short supply at Borough Briggs but Weir expects his players to be tested by Queen’s Park at Hampden today.
He said: “I’m delighted with our start to the season and to be top of the table after six games is very pleasing.
“We’ve scored the most goals in the division and conceded the fewest, so there is a lot to be happy about.
“Our second-half performance against Berwick was excellent and we will need to produce that level again at Hampden.
“Gus MacPherson has got Queen’s Park playing well and they are causing teams problems.
“They look strong physically and Gus has got them well organised, so we know we are in for a tough afternoon.
“Any time you go to Hampden it is a hard game but hopefully we can produce a strong performance and come away with the win.”
